The epitome of freedom - the wild mustang. In this painting I wanted to capture the most famous of these fascinating creatures - Picasso of Sand Wash Basin. The old warrior was born and died in the Basin of north western Colorado and was known for his unique coat markings and two-toned mane. Free for his entire life, he was the king of Sand Wash and has become a legend.
