Ravens are one of my favorite birds. They are among the smartest animals, ranking up there with chimps and dolphins, and have been known to imitate human speech. They are playful, adaptable and mischievous. Many different cultures see the raven as a messenger, and some Native American tribes worshipped the raven as a deity in and of itself.
